AI Commerce has improved the storage and processing of UTM parameters (e.g., utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), particularly in varying traffic situations.
The new logic ensures that the parameters are conveyed to Google even in situations where users arrive at the site indirectly or the browser cache prevents some data from being transmitted. At the same time, Referrer information is stored more accurately in the order history, improving the traceability of campaigns.
This improvement helps online retailers assess the effectiveness of marketing more accurately and ensures that conversions are targeted at the right traffic sources.
