Step 1: Add a New Integration in Facebook Business Manager

  1. Navigate to Facebook Business Manager and open the Events Manager section.

  2. Select the website you want to add the Conversion API to.

  3. Click Add new integration and choose Conversion API.

  4. Click Setup to proceed.

Step 2: Choose Integration Settings

  1. Select the Manual Setup option.

  2. Click Next to continue.

  3. Begin the CAPI configuration by pressing the Start CAPI Configuration button.

  4. Read the instructions and press Continue.

Step 3: Configure Tracked Events

  1. Select the events you want to track via the Conversion API, such as:
    • Purchase
    • Checkout
    • Add to Cart
    • Contact Us Request

  2. Click Continue.

Step 4: Configure Event Parameters

  1.     Select the desired event information, such as:
        • Event Timestamp
        • Product ID
        • URL
        • Customer Information (encrypting according to security standards)

  2. Click Continue.

Step 5: Generate Access Token

  • Go to the Conversion API Usage page.

  • Click Generate Access Token and save it securely.

  • Facebook does not store this token, so keep it safe.

Step 6: Add Meta API Secret to AI Commerce Dashboard

  1. Log into the AI Commerce admin dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Mystore -> Meta API Secret.

  3. Paste the copied access token into the Meta API Secret field.

  4. Save changes.

Step 7: Verify Data Transmission

  1. Test the API connection by sending events in test mode.

  2. Check that the events are visible in the Facebook Business Manager's Events Manager section.

  3. Ensure the domain is added to the cron job in the AI Commerce dashboard.
