Overview
Email Orders is a new AI-powered workflow for receiving customer orders by email. A merchant can forward customer emails to an AI Commerce inbound address, and AI Commerce can generate an order or quote based on the email content.
Configuration Options
The workflow can be configured to read the email body, PDF attachments, CSV, or XLS files. Users can choose which fields to extract, such as SKU, quantity, unit price, order number, promised delivery date, or delivery address.
Customer matching can use email, VAT ID, or configured matching rules, and the workflow can decide whether to auto-create a customer or use a default fallback customer.
Order Creation
The generated record can be created as a draft order or quote, assigned a selected order status, and optionally sent to ERP automatically. If the merchant prefers manual control, the record can remain in the online store until the user clicks Send to ERP from the order page.
