Payment methods can now be targeted by customer type

AI Commerce Cloud now allows you to configure payment methods based on customer type. In the settings, you can define whether a payment method is shown to everyone, only to business customers, private individuals, or admins only.

If a payment method is set to “admin,” it will only be visible when the account is logged in via the admin panel’s Account Login feature. This makes it possible to use or test special payment methods exclusively through customer service.

Additionally, sole proprietors (those with “tmi” in their business name) are excluded from the business customer group, as payment providers often treat them as private individuals. This reduces the risk of payment declines and improves the success rate of transactions.
