The AI Commerce Cloud admin panel now includes a new Account Login feature, allowing merchants to directly access a customer’s storefront account with a single click. This improves customer support, speeds up testing, and replaces the legacy Customer Master Password feature.
The tool automatically generates a one-time login token, valid for five seconds, and opens a new window where the user is logged in as the customer (as an admin). This enables seamless and secure access without needing passwords.
Key use cases:
Customer service: Quickly check orders, shipments, and other account details from the customer’s perspective.
Sales support: Add products to the cart or guide customers through the checkout process step by step.
Testing: Validate features directly on a customer account without requesting separate login credentials.
The system clearly identifies when an admin is using a customer account, allowing for broader editing and support capabilities in the future.
We recommend all AI Commerce merchants switch to this new feature as the Customer Master Password functionality will be fully deprecated soon.
