EU-Compliant Discount Display Update

To ensure full compliance with the latest EU pricing legislation, AI Commerce Cloud now applies stricter validation before displaying any discount badges or percentage-based reductions to consumers.

Under the new regulation, if a product has been offered at the same or a lower price within the past 30 days, the store is not allowed to display a discount indication — even if the current price appears lower compared to the original base price.

With this update:

• AI Commerce Cloud automatically checks the product’s 30-day price history.

• If the product has been sold at an equal or lower price during that period, no discount badge or percentage reduction is shown.

• This prevents misleading discount displays and ensures retailers comply with EU consumer protection laws.

• The update applies across all storefronts and requires no configuration from merchants.

This improvement helps merchants stay legally compliant, increases transparency for consumers, and ensures consistent discount presentation across the AI Commerce Cloud ecosystem.
