Improved Category Sorting Logic in Navigation

We have updated the default sorting logic for category navigations in AI Commerce Cloud. Previously, categories with equal sort order values were ordered based on their internal ID, which could lead to inconsistent or non-intuitive category structures—especially in large catalogs.

The platform now applies alphabetical sorting whenever categories share the same sort value.

If a custom sort order is defined by the merchant, this always takes precedence and overrides alphabetical order.

This improvement ensures cleaner, more predictable navigation for storefront visitors and reduces the manual work required to structure product categories effectively.
