Previously, automatic disabling of sold-out products required both stock monitoring and the reduction of inventory quantities to be enabled. This limited the feature’s usability in stores using alternative stock control methods.
Now, this functionality is available as a separate setting: Disabled Products Sold Out, located in the admin panel under Configurations > Stock. With this setting, you can decide whether sold-out products should be automatically hidden from your storefront.
When enabled:
Products that reach zero stock are automatically disabled.
They are no longer publicly visible in the storefront.
A noindex meta tag is applied so that search engines won’t index them.
Product pages remain technically accessible (no 404 error), allowing for remarketing and internal tracking.
This improves flexibility in stock management and helps optimize both customer experience and search engine visibility.
