The visibility of shipping methods can now be controlled based on customer type, using the same logic as payment methods. In the settings, you can choose whether a shipping method is shown to private consumers, business customers, or only to admins.
This enables a more precise shipping policy — for example, you can offer wholesale shipping options exclusively to business customers. Merchants can thus tailor delivery options to different customer segments without showing irrelevant choices to others.
As with payment methods, sole proprietors (“tmi”) are classified as private consumers in accordance with payment provider practices. We recommend reviewing your settings if you have segment-specific shipping options enabled.
