Presentation of shipping costs in the cart updated to comply with EU directives

AI Commerce Cloud has updated how shipping costs are displayed in the shopping cart to ensure compliance with EU regulations. Previously, the cart would show a default message indicating “Shipping costs €0.” This has now been removed. Shipping costs will only be shown once the customer selects a shipping method during checkout.

This change helps prevent misunderstandings where customers might assume shipping is automatically free. In cases where a free shipping promotion is active, it will still be clearly displayed as a separate notice in the cart.

This update improves transparency and customer satisfaction and reduces unnecessary support requests and abandoned carts caused by unclear shipping information.
